The Santoku is a board for those who want a playful Freeride / All Mountain snowboard. It's a Twin snowboard with a great shape!
The board was developed by Nitro rider Elias Elhardt and with Dual Degressive Sidecut and Trüe Camber it is both fast and forgiving. The short running lngth allows it to make quick turns in the trees and master side hits like no other. The Santoku is an All-Terrain Twin board that gives you extra float in the powder without compromising your switch riding options.
The Santoku is a playful board for those who ride all over the mountain. This is the board that Nitro rider Lucas Baume a.k.a. Yungdoli chooses every day of the week.

All Mountain – The Santoku is a board that works well for all types of riding. A versatile softer camber board for those who want a board for the wInsert mountain.

Our most versatile flex pattern, combining Nitro’s signature pop with smooth response, allowing you to tear up the entire mountain. Flex 1/10 is soft and playful whilst 10/10 is stiff and responsive.

Twin: The nose and tail are identical and the bindings are centered on the board. Same shape, flex and camber at both ends. This is so that you can ride equally well in both directions.
Dual Degressive Sidecut: This sidecut blends a smaller radius in the center with two larger ones in the tip and tail, making it loose and playful. Nitro ́s most forgiving sidecut.
Profile:
Trüe Camber: Trüe Camber is good old standard camber, which provides the stability, and pop many shreds can ́t live without. The amount of snap and support you get from a cambered board is unrivalled by any other camber design. Our Trüe Camber varies between board models because each board is specifically designed for a certain terrain or type of riding, for example the Trüe Camber in our Pantera has a larger height for maximum response, while the Trüe Camber in our freestyle boards are lower to provide you with a more freestyle friendly flex, without losing the support and trust you need for stomping landings. Camber is Camber there is no point in over complicating it!

Powerlite core: The highest grade of ultra-lightweight poplar wood in our Powerlite core makes for the perfect ride with lots of pop and unmatched strength at a minimum weight.
Diamond Laminates: Well-balanced layers of carbon fiber establish a new level in performance. More snap and liveliness provide a smooth, powerful and effortless ride.
Reflex Core Profile: A thinner core profile between your feet improves handling and increases torsional flex, allowing you to steer your board through a turn with ease.
Sintered Speed Formula II Base: Rocket science put to work! A nanotech wax formula deeply infused into our sintered base material makes the base surface lightning fast in all snow conditions. Highly tuned yet extremely durable, SPEED FORMULA II Base technology is exclusively featured on Nitro high-end boards.
Wax: All NITRO boards are factory-tuned with Kandahars 100% Natural Speed Wax, a fully Bio-degradable wax made of renewable resources.
Sustainability:
Water-based incs for over 70% of all topsheets
Wood from responsible sources (FSC certified)
All edges are made of 50% recycled steel
Over 85% of all running bases are made using recycled raw material
