Snowboard Binding – Nidecker Supermatic OG Step In Atlantic
Nidecker Supermatic OG is a Step In binding that has largely eliminated all the drawbacks of traditional Step In bindings. Supermatic is incredibly fast and easy to use while fitting regular snowboard boots perfectly. It works excellently in powder, is comfortable, and high-performing.
The reason to choose a Step In binding is that it's much quicker to strap in, and it's straightforward. To strap into the Supermatic binding, you simply insert your foot into the binding and push down. To exit the binding, you pull on a lever (Release Lever) and remove your foot. You don't need special boots to use Nidecker Supermatic; you can use regular snowboard boots. It's really easy to get in and out of Supermatic. Supermatic has a fully covered strap (Hybrid Exoframe Powerstrap) that distributes pressure evenly over the foot and is comfortable. You can adjust the strap's size to fit your own foot perfectly. 2.5° Canted Footbed: The baseplate is canted 2.5° for a more ergonomic riding position for longer days on the slopes.
Multidisc (2x4, 4x4, 3D, Channel): The binding comes with a disc that is compatible with 2x4, 4x4, 3D, and Burton Channel.
Asym Hadron Reclining Highback: The Supermatic's highback is a folding and asymmetrically molded nylon highback. The highback folds down completely, creating the fastest automatic step-in system where it's easy to insert your foot. The highback provides excellent support and comfort.
Hybrid ExoFrame PowerStrap: Supermatic's straps are designed to feel like two straps, even though they are connected. Being connected makes it easier to step in and out of the binding while transferring power more efficiently without needing to tighten the straps too much.
Active Strap: To make it even easier to step in and out of Supermatic, it uses the Active Strap. When you fold down the highback, the strap also moves up, making it easier to get in and out of the binding.
LSR Buckles: Lockable buckles that can be set to their own perfect setting and never need to be adjusted again, or they can be used as regular snowboard buckles if, for example, you get stuck in very deep snow.
Heelcup Roller: Under the highback, there is a roller that facilitates getting in and out of the binding and guides the boot correctly.
Heel Pedal: In the heel, there is a Heel Pedal, a locking mechanism that is pressed down by your snowboard boots and locks the binding to the ride mode. Heel Pedal is self-cleaning so that snow doesn't prevent the binding from locking. There are three locking positions, which you can hear through clicking sounds.
Release Lever: To exit Supermatic, you press the lever and pull your foot out of the binding.
